Let’s dissect #JKRowling’s recent transphobic rant for anyone who thinks she might gave valid points (a thread):
No one should have to deal with sexual assault & domestic violence. That said, her experience does not justify transphobia. Her abuser was a cis man, not a trans person and abusers exist among every group of people. That’s not a reason to paint minorities with the same brush.
Let’s be clear, Russell-Moyle appologize about his comments regarding her sexual assault & domestic violence. He maintains that #JKRowling’s comments regarding trans people are wrong, because they are.
Of course she’s still promoting her original essay and doubling down again after it’s been fact-checked and torn apart countless times.

She only received 3000 emails when she has a Twitter following of 14.5 million and her transphobia was reported around the world? That’s a pathetic level of support to brag about.
You will find people in all walks of life that “express concerns about the aims and methods of current trans activism.” Those people are called transphobes. These are people who can’t stand those who are ‘different’ and refuse to allow them equal rights and freedoms.
Trans women are extremely vulnerable women. Let’s not pretend that #JKRowling has concern for vulnerable women, she only cares about women she views as acceptable. As she states, she is in a position of privilege where she is entirely ignorant about women’s prisons and refuges.
When so-called feminists (actually TERs) like @jk_rowling demand that trans people give up their hard won rights, they align themselves with alt-right hate groups. To both groups, the safety of women is secondary to prejudice and invented “facts.”
TERs often react to trans people’s words - speaking and writing - as if they were acts of violence; sometimes cis people react to trans people’s words with violence.
#JKRowling is just directing the violence she’s experiences as a woman toward another marginalized group.

If she accepts his apology, I guess she accepts that he still thinks her views on trans people are wrong. Looking past the childish #genderwoowoo hastag and the like, you just see hate, and inability to do research, and a complete lack of self-awareness or empathy.
You would think, as someone who has experienced marginalization and violence, she would understand that putting others in the same position is dangerous, and you would think that she would stand up against transphobia, homophobia and racism. Unfortunately, you’d be wrong.
