This is one of the issues I have with this group: the propagation of agenda-driven misinformation.

Here they issue a 5 tweet thread blaming Islamophobic anti-immigrant rhetoric for inspiring the vandalism of 5 mosques in Birmingham last year by a "white nationalist fanatic". https://twitter.com/ukblm/status/1108714142666502144
They berate the government, the media, the police, and the Prevent stategy as all being somehow culpable for these attacks.

Of course white nationalism, and bigoted rhetoric targeting Muslims and immigrants should be opposed, but BLM UK have not let facts get in the way here.
All 5 of these acts of vandalism were in actually committed by an Iranian immigrant named Arman Rezazadeh.

Rather than a white nationalist "Islamophobic" attack, this was Middle Eastern Sunni/Shia sectarianism playing out on British soil.
As of now, BLM UK still have not deleted their thread falsely presenting this attack as an example of British intolerance towards minorities, & as far as I can tell have issued no retraction or correction.

This is not how to win trust & effectively combat actual racism/bigotry.
