So much to digest from that performance. A set-up and an approach completely different to what we were promised on Friday. In the end any hopes rested on Dwight Gayle’s chance. Unforgivable to miss from that range. So frustrating. #NUFC

It’s very difficult to be motivated about the rest of #NUFC’s season behind closed doors. Safety assured (and credit is due for that, of course) but after 14 years waiting for an FA Cup quarter-final, defeat is hard to swallow when they’ve hardly laid a glove on Man City.
And for all Fabian Schar is one of #NUFC’s best players and excellent on the ball, it’s a huge concern when a defender is a liability in his own penalty area. So poor for the first goal and not the first time he’s looked susceptible to giving away a cheap penalty.
