(8) Call out a friend. Call out a coworker, a boss, a teacher. Once you recognize your biases, help others recognize their own. Once you challenge your biases, help others challenge their own. This burden doesn’t fall on black people, it falls on everyone. You, me, everyone.
(9) I wish I could see how the poll would differ if I had non Muslim followers. The takeaway: it’s fine if you saw me as black. What isn’t fine is if you saw black, saw the other identities, and decided it was fine to be my friend. Let’s all recognize and challenge our biases.
