In 2016 Trump aided & abetted Russian military intelligence waging cyberwar on our elections

In 2020 Trump is aiding & abetting Russian military intelligence making *war* on our *military* by offering a G8 spot in response

It only wasn't treason in 2016 because it was cyberwar
This is a good time for everyone to understand that not only is it a federal crime and impeachable offense for a president to offer policy inducements to a country that is waging war on our troops, but at a minimum puts in play discussion of the treason statute as a matter of law
Media investigations now ongoing *confirm* Trump was briefed on the Kremlin's war plot three months ago, confirm that the plot resulted in coalition casualties, and confirm that Trump's only response was to offer Russia *a major policy inducement* of historic value to the Kremlin
I can't say for certain whether the president has committed treason, I can only say that there's sufficient evidence in the public sphere at this point that it would be reasonable for a congressional inquiry into possible treason by the president under the federal treason statute
Needless to say, it doesn't matter that I've unambiguously said here I'm only calling for an investigation into possible treason by Trump—anyone on the right looking to play politics at this moment rather than protect America will falsely say I've accused the president of treason
The only non-Trumpist who ever contemplated that the Trump-Russia investigation was or should be a *hacking conspiracy* investigation was Robert Mueller, whereas everyone else said that what should be investigated was conspiracy after the fact in the form of *aiding and abetting*
Trump has a demonstrated history of offering the Kremlin policy inducements shortly subsequent to learning of major crimes against America by the Kremlin—and his current actions are perfectly in line with his long history rather than some sudden inexplicable unpatriotic deviation
Note too that the GRU—the same Russian military intelligence unit whose actions Trump aided and abetted in 2016, and to which 2016 campaign adviser Konstantin Kilimnik is attached—is now responsible for plotting the assassination of American soldiers in an active military theater
I'd add that among the many acts of collusion (not conspiracy) detailed in the Mueller Report, one of the most *conspicuous* is the secret meeting between Trump's now-imprisoned campaign manager and GRU agent Kilimnik—during which meeting proprietary campaign data was transferred
