Trump shared a video of numbskulls in a Florida retirement community leading a pro-Trump golf cart parade.

But there is a hero in this story.

His name is Ed McGinty.

Meet Ed.

1/
Ed McGinty is 71-years old, retired, and no shrinking violet.

“When Trump won, it changed the whole ballgame for me. I thought to myself, ‘This was supposed to be a joke. What’s wrong with these people?’”

2/
So, when Trump visited Orlando last fall and a crowd of his neighbors showed up with signs to cheer him on, Ed showed up with one too.

3/
Some of Ed’s neighbors weren’t happy with his outspoken condemnation of the traitorous Coward in Chief.

Letters were written. Notes left at his home.

Ed is a Philadelphia boy though and isn’t one to cower from bullying.

So he gave his golf cart a makeover.

4/
The local pro-Trump mob, Villagers for Trump, got even more pissed. But Ed carried on.

“These people down here are emboldened because there’s so many of them,” McGinty said. “And they really try to intimidate any Democrat that even sticks his head above water.”

5/
Ed got death threats. But it only made him more driven. He started taking his golf cart to high-traffic areas to protest 2 hours a day.

He was a one-man protest in a community with an organized pro-Trump group.

6/
And then some of his previously silent neighbors started to join him.

And now Ed has reinforcements.

One man. A 71-year old retiree from Philadelphia in an Orlando retirement village. Leading a local movement.

Ed McGinty is good people.

I’d join his protest any day.

7/7
p.s. Ed McGinty is the reason the media shows up to The Villages.

What was once a vocally pro-Trump community is now a scene of counter-protests and resistance.

It started with Ed taking on some of his neighbors, ignoring threats and pressing on.

I love this guy.
