I have called the story by Credlin racist. It is racist. So was the story by Andrew Bolt. Racist.

These stories are racist because they employ race or ethnicity when it was not necessary.
If it was not necessary to identify the race or ethnicity of those involved in Aspen ski trip or the Diamond Princess Cruise, then it was not necessary to identify race or ethnicity in this case.

The tendency to point to race as a relevant factor in certain stories....
...is not new across Australian media. The election to point to race in certain stories is indicative of a believe that the race of certain groups is believed to have ‘explanatory’ value.
When it is black boys, they are African gangs or gangs of African appearance. When it is white boys, they are teenagers or youths from Noble Park e.t.c.
Credlin may argue this is not about race but about illiteracy in English. Maybe she has a point, I don’t see it. Was the group demonstrating against Covid19 lockdown, which was predominantly white, illiterate in English?

Are the Americans refusing to wear masks speaking Dinka?
