Had a long talk with an army friend posted in XIV Corps this morning.
Those saying PLA has intruded in Depsang are lying.
He didn't share details but reassured what was in our control continues to be in our control from N to S,i.e from Depsang to Galwan to Pangong Tso to Demchok.
The officer also categorically told me Patrol Point 14 in Galwan Valley is absolutely under Indian control.
We've our new Bailey Bridge just 1.8 kms away from there. For its protection, there are enough army elements in the region.

This so called defence expert Mr. Shukla claims Nehru ordered soldiers to hold Galwan at all costs. Why doesn't he say Nehru lost all the territory till Galwan ? Galwan is 120 km inside our border.
In 2020, they've not been allowed to enter even 100 m across LAC in Galwan valley.
LAC has to be viewed in context of areas India has controlled since last 2 decades or ground position, not in context of our claim line.
Indian claim line is upto Aksai Chin lake in Aksai Chin. Our claim line is upto Trans Karakoram Tract or Shaksgam Valley gifted by Pak to China.
It is all ours. In future when the time is right, we'll take back all our lost territory.
Till then, we don't have to lose an inch of the territories we control and dominate.
Have we let them alter the ground situation as it existed on 1st March 2020 ?
The answer is NO.
Pangong Tso is the only place where the PLA seems to have made some ingress as in non permanent structures between Fingers 4 & Fingers 8. It is unacceptable and they will have to vacate the Finger Area.
Indian Govt and the Indian Army are firm the PLA must vacate the Finger Area.
Now this area too was not under our absolute control at last since last two decades . The PLA built a road to F4 during Kargil. Had we been having control of the stretch, we'd have dismantled their roads.
We have 45 km of Lake under our absolute control. https://twitter.com/ukshahi/status/1275712540027297793?s=19
We did use to carry out foot patrols in the area between Finger 4 and Finger 8 but the PLA had a road. Their patrols were far more frequent. At best, this was a buffer zone in terms of ground situation. But all that land belongs to India.
PLA will have to vacate the Finger area.
We too have bolstered our defences in the Finger Area and increased our deployment to match the PLA.
If the PLA doesn't vacate the Finger Area and go back to Finger 8, India Army will drive the PLA out of the area and will reclaim even Sirijap post that we lost in the 1962 war.
India has not lost any territory it controlled or dominated on March 1st, 2020.
OSINT experts & Defence Experts should also tell us how they arbitrarily delineate the LAC when even India & China have not done it. Do satellite imageries show a line too, with LAC written on it ?
Chinese Presence at Pakistani airbases has been confirmed too.
PLA Air Force Refueller IL 78 has been seen landing at the Skardu Airbase in PoK. India is keeping a close eye on China Pak synergy.
In the air domain, China is at a disadvantage in the Western Sector, since maximum take off weights for fighter and attack aircraft are inversely proportional to takeoff altitude (in 4500-5000 M range). Higher airfields decrease the usable payload capacity and fuel load of jets.
Skardu has a height of 2330 metres above the sea level. Hence, there is all likelihood that China might use PAF airbases in PoK and even in Pakistan at lower heights.
Keeping that in mind, the India has deployed advanced very quick-reaction surface-to-air missile defence systems of both the Army and the Indian Air Force in the Eastern Ladakh sector.
India is also very shortly getting a highly capable air defence system from a friendly country which can be deployed and the entire area can be taken care of to prevent any enemy flying there. It may be either of the two. Recognize them .
The fighter aircrafts of the Indian Air Force have also been very active in the Eastern Ladakh area as they are coming into the troubled theatre fully loaded after taking off from the nearby air bases in the plains.
Intensive combat air patrolling is being done every day.
Responding to the significant PLA buildup along the LAC opposite Indian positions in Depsang, Galwan, Gogra (Hot Springs), Pangong Tso & Demchok, India has matched Chinese deployment with its own mirror deployment at all the mentioned sectors.
India has also added Apache attack copters, Su 30 MKI, Bofors & Sharang Artillery Guns and Tanks to defences along the LAC.
K9 & M77 Howitzers are ready to be deployed.
3rd Infantry Division tasked with Ladakh was already there.
Another Div. (15K combat troops) was moved in May.
Another mountain division of the Indian Army, kept ready for contingency, has been acclimatized over the past two weeks for war fighting at more than 14,000 feet and moved in.
Three divisions now form an arc and are ready to respond.
Two more divisions are being acclimatized.
Our armed forces intervened in Galwan at the cost of their lives when they felt they needed to intervene.
Trust your armed forces. Trust your elected government.
A mammoth effort is being put in by govt and the armed forces. At least appreciate the humongous national effort.
The info reg. deployment I've shared is from info in public domain & media sources.
As I have written already, my friend didn't share details but just reassured me that no transgression has been allowed. He questioned arbitrary marking of LAC on OSINT maps too. Nothing beyond it.
