Lloyd Russell-Moyle has form.

In April he was one of those who shared an unredacted copy of a leaked report containing the names and details of victims of antisemitism and whistleblowers. Some of the names then appeared on Neo Nazi websites.
In June 2019, he invited Ahmed Alshami from the Houthi rebel group to Parliament. Their slogan includes “death to Israel, curse the Jews”. After criticism from the Board of Deputies and others he changed his mind.
In March 2019 at a ‘Love Socialism, Hate Brexit’ march, he set off a flare on Westminster Bridge. In December 2019 at his count on election night he ranted about fighting Tories “in the streets”.
In December 2018 he was suspended from the House of Commons for the rest of the day after grabbing the ceremonial mace and trying to walk out with it.
Now he’s having to apologise for saying that JK Rowling was “using her own sexual assault as justification for discriminating against a group of people who were not responsible for it”.

He shouldn’t have been given a shadow ministerial role. He shouldn’t be a Labour MP.
