This thread sums up my thoughts on the flag completely, but this part is VERY important.

The two banners on the flag were put together EONS before the Crossland Banner was used by Confederate sympathizers. They tried to take a symbol of our great state and they lost. https://twitter.com/beroforcongress/status/1276948350563213312
That being said, if you see anyone using the Crossland Banner by itself or flipping the flag upside down, they're racist as hell.

We need to know the history of our flag.
I think a bigger question to ask is not whether we should change it because of Confederate sympathies, but whether we should change it because of its connection to brutal colonialism.
