A quick thread about this kitten: I had just arrived for a quick drink at a bar by the border when I spotted her. She had a damaged leg, and someone had weirdly wrapped it up with paper and masking tape. She could barely walk and was crying.
A man sitting nearby said, “My girlfriend just left me. You think I need to feel sorry for this kitten? It’s me you should feel sorry for.” SIR, THIS IS WHY YOUR GIRLFRIEND LEFT YOU.
I grabbed a box from the bazar and put her in it. And off to the vet we went!

She has torn ligaments in her leg, likely from someone hitting her. She had a stomach infection, and a flea infestation.
I genuinely thought she wouldn’t make it through the first night at the vet. I doubt she would have lasted longer than a day or two on the street.

But she stayed at the vet a week and I went to visit her.
Today she came home with us!! And is the newest member of our family!!
May I introduce to you, BOOTS!
(Also, if anyone has any experience with traumatised cats am open to advice! We’re pretty sure her leg injury was inflicted by a person on purpose.)
Well, she farted in my face whilst sitting like this, so I’d say she’s starting to settle in.
Concluding that my shoulder is a safe zone.
One of these is not wine
Cool.
Ok sorry to be this person, but LOOK AT HER. Day 2 and she’s still shy and nervous and hides, BUT really comes to life on my shoulder!
She only comes out of hiding to do this 💛 In true Turkish style a woman I don’t really know told me I found her to help her heal, and in return she’d heal me too. I’m down.
