The 2020 Trafficking in Persons report is out with some strong recommendations for the UK to strengthen their trafficking response @JTIP_State @StateDept #TIPreport #endtrafficking – in particular:
Train care providers to better safeguard child victims of trafficking. Our course, specifically aimed at foster carers, addresses this need to reduce the risk of unaccompanied children going missing & being retrafficked

Expand long-term care and reintegration support – supporting people post-NRM in ways that can lead to economic and social integration is key and part of our project plans. @JTIP_State @StateDept #TIPreport #endtrafficking
Provide adequate information to foreign workers, especially the most vulnerable, on their legal rights and how to maintain their status in the UK post-exit from the EU – our EUSS project has supported over 3300 at-risk EU migrants to apply for settled status #endtrafficking
Provide a trafficking-specific long-term alternative for foreign victims at risk if returned to their home country – this is a big gap in the UK’s approach to supporting survivors. Read the issues in our paper with @HumanTraffFdn
