Last night @RepBrianFitz of #PA01 voted yes on the #GeorgeFloyd #JusticeInPolicingAct.
Before we start calling him ally, let's consider two other pieces of this situation that no doubt weighed heavily on his decision-making process.

Just before #PA01's @RepBrianFitz placed the YES vote on the final bill, he voted YES on the Republicans' Motion to Recommit.
That would have replaced the **entire text of the House bill** with the Senate's toothless and loophole-ridden #JUSTICEAct.

In case you need a reminder of what that means, it's that @RepBrianFitz voted yes to replace the excellent #JusticeInPolicingAct with a bill that fails to ban #chokeholds or #noknockraids, and doesn't mention #QualifiedImmunity.
