I can get objecting to Yeshua’s behavior in the restaurant. But not justifying a Black person’s violent arrest by saying “police say he resisted arrest.” Getting arrested is a potentially deadly situation. So is being in the Dane County Jail, which has mismanaged COVID
While it’s not the only thing he’s accused of, let’s remember that “resisting arrest” is one of the most bullshit charges there is, one that police use to accost and abuse peole arbitrarily. Parroting it like this in an editorial is malpractice
We’ve seen what can cops will do to people in broad daylight with other people watching. That’s what all of this is about. Fleeing seems pretty damn reasonable to me
Yes, he had a bat and said he had a bat. Didn’t attempt to attack anyone with it as far as we know. This in a week where several people have driven cars into crowds and another group tried to light someone on fire
Speaking of COVID, after this week I kinda feel like you shouldn’t be able to go to a restaurant without getting yelled at 
I’m not OK with people beating up Tim Carpenter or harassing reporters. Still, generations of state violence and unpresponsive institutions are the greater evils here by orders of magnitude. Keep it in perspective

The “normal” channels have failed to respond, over and over again, to these matters of life and death. That’s why we have disruptive and destructive protest. How can you not expect that frustration to explode
