How many times have we heard these excuses being used to justify why a woman was raped? How many times have you used the above phrases to defend rapists?
Slut-shaming is when rape is justified based on how the victim chose to express herself sexually.

For instance, if she wore a skirt that was too short, she is blamed for "provoking" or "seducing" the rapists. The word is that she had it coming 
This is a truly dangerous path to follow. Slut-shaming takes away blame from the rapists.

Slut-shaming prevents the rapists from being held responsible for their crimes. Slut-shaming allows rapists to walk away scot-free. Moreover, slut-shaming further traumatizes victims as they are left blaming themselves for what happened to them.
Even more dangerous is that, slut-shaming victims sends a message to rapists, young boys and men, that it is "okay" to rape women who are expressive about their sexuality because why not? They can always say that her cleavage "seduced" him & the society will give him a free pass.
The truth is, A RAPIST IS A RAPIST THROUGH AND THROUGH. It does not matter if a woman wears no makeup, covers her whole body, has zero sexual partners, is always home before dark, or, never drinks in the company of men, A RAPIST WILL STILL RAPE HER JUST BECAUSE HE CAN!!!
