/x Important thread about E/tsy: The platform is now FORCING some sellers to participate in offsite ads for the LIFETIME of their shops. This means they're charged an ADDITIONAL 12% (some are charged an extra 15%), on TOP of the fees they're already being charged. (CONT)
/x For my "message" hoops, I've had to go up in price due to the lack of supplies available to me- both due to The Virus and my normal local supply no longer carrying the hoops. I don't want to raise these prices even more as I want them to be as accessible as possible. (CONT)
/x So, I can't donate as large a % as I'd like. E/tsy is a reliable platform because it ensures safety for both buyers and sellers. But, it seems exploitative to FORCE participation in a program where sellers are charged even more. (CONT)
/x Here's how you can help E/tsy sellers: We often place links in our social media- this is important because it helps us understand where our sales are coming from. So, please use social media links we post ourselves! BUT... (CONT)
/x ...if you click on an offsite ad, such as Google/Bing banners & ads randomly placed on the web, E/tsy charges sellers that ADDITIONAL 12%-15%. So, please DO click on our own social media links, but NOT on randomly placed ads (can also delete cookies). (CONT)
6. So many sellers want to keep prices reasonable, and so many donate $ from sales to worthy causes. Hopefully E/tsy will change this requirement at some point. 🤞🤞🤞🤞 Here's more info: https://mashable.com/article/etsy-offsite-ads-program-sellers-backlash.amp
