As someone with gastric issues, I rely on public bathrooms when not at home...

Pre-COVID-19, I had my local cafes that didn’t mind if I ducked in to use their facilities plotted out so I didn’t have to used trashed municipal facilities.

But COVID-19 info collection at businesses has made things difficult

I can’t just duck in quietly and use a bathroom: I now have to give my name, my phone number or at some locations use a web form or QR code

Anyway, public health needs to include *all of public health issues* Raising the standards of public bathrooms would go a long way to making the world both cleaner and safer for everyone

Sign at the local cafe door: “We are at capacity for social distancing purposes...”

Yes, but I’m also at capacity as well and the nearest clean council facility is .5km walk away

Nearest @cityportphillip public toilets are locked and inaccessible. Where does the council suggest ppl who need to access bathrooms go? Particularly homeless ppl and ppl with small children?

I’m on good terms with my local cafe owner but they still require info. But for parents with prams and homeless ppl, locking up toilets contributes to making life harder for some ppl during COVID-19 and makes everyone less safe
