Military leaders, I’m gonna tell you this again:

Coronavirus is not a joke. Take it seriously. Don’t half-ass precautionary measures. Take care of your people. Make sure they understand the threat. Don’t wait until you have a case in your formation. It’s too late at that point.
They need to know that a guy or gal who feels sick and gets tested could’ve been spreading it for weeks if they weren’t wearing a mask and practicing social distancing and washing/sanitizing their hands like they should have. Remind them their peers may have vulnerable family.
You wouldn’t wait until someone got shot on patrol downrange to make sure everyone understood the threat posed by enemy forces and enforcing the wear of body armor. The best time to start enforcing precautions was Day 1 of the pandemic. The second best time is now.
Take care of your people. That’s literally your number one job. Because your unit’s readiness and lethality is gonna look like shit when half your formation is down with the sickness (ooh-wah-ah-ah) or dealing with sick family members.
