Trump is moving all his chips into winning Wisconsin. He’s way down in the polls—but we’ve seen this movie before. Take nothing for granted.
Trump’s here today. Let’s make his visit backfire—donate to help us organize, read this thread, & RT: http://wisdems.org/trump-in-wi

Trump’s visit to WI today, and the visit by Pence/DeVos/Walker on Tue, is part of a “major offensive to win in Wisconsin,” as the Washington Post just reported.
He’s so far behind in PA & MI that he’s shifting his focus here. https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2020/06/25/trump-biden-wisconsin-2020-economy/

Trump toured a shipyard in Marinette to try and take credit for a federal contract. He posed for photo ops and talked about jobs, as though he was Santa Claus.
The reality: As @JoeBiden says, Trump wants "take credit for Obama-Biden Administration-fueled successes in an attempt to paper over the fact that Wisconsin has been bleeding blue-collar manufacturing jobs over the past few weeks.” https://www.nytimes.com/reuters/2020/06/25/us/politics/25reuters-usa-trump.html
Trump’s record in Wisconsin is abysmal.
Not just with COVID or the economy (our unemployment rate is now 12%); before, too. We’ve lost more than 2000 dairy farms under Trump (out of 9000 total), and led the nation in farm bankruptcies every year. https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2020/06/25/trump-biden-wisconsin-2020-economy/

Trump’s tax scam failed to deliver for families, but helped big companies buy back stock and close plants—like the Kimbery-Clark plants in Wisconsin, not far from where Trump will appear on a Fox News special tonight. He ought to apologize. (He won’t.) https://www.jsonline.com/story/money/business/2018/01/31/kimberly-clark-closing-two-plants-neenah/1082701001/
What *will* Trump do in Wisconsin? Well, he’s sitting down with Sean Hannity in Green Bay for a town hall meeting. And we know what he does whenever he’s losing: he’ll use racist rhetoric to try to divide us. https://fox6now.com/2020/06/23/sean-hannity-to-host-town-hall-with-president-trump-in-green-bay-on-june-25/
Sean Hannity, who falsely warns his viewers that #BlackLivesMatter
will “patrol the streets with armed militias.” https://www.mediamatters.org/sean-hannity/sean-hannity-warns-black-lives-matter-will-patrol-streets-armed-militias

Sean Hannity, who, incidentally, caused a “a greater number of Covid-19 cases and deaths” by spreading misinformation, per a careful study. That’s who Trump is taking to, the day after we hit a new national high in COVID cases. https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2020/4/22/21229360/coronavirus-covid-19-fox-news-sean-hannity-misinformation-death
Trump knows exactly what he’s doing by talking to Hannity in WI. It’s been his strategy since Day One—the day when, on his golden escalator, he called Mexican-American immigrants “rapists” as he announced his presidency. https://www.cnn.com/2018/04/06/politics/trump-mexico-rapists/index.html
When Trump goes for the jugular with inflammatory racism, he distracts the country from his disastrous policies. And what better person to do it than with Sean Hannity!
As Rep. @MarkPocan said, “People in Wisconsin know Trump is just coming for the press release.”
He’s going to try to do something tonight to change the narrative. Don’t let him. Instead, let’s turn Trump's press release into a win for Dems.

Trump is flailing now. But remember 2016. Hillary Clinton was up 15 points in Wisconsin after the Democratic convention. By November 8, her polling lead had shrunk to 6.5%. And then Trump won Wisconsin by 0.8%. https://www.wiscnews.com/news/state-and-regional/marquette-poll-hillary-clinton-opens-15-point-post-convention-lead-in-wisconsin/article_4b9b8880-4e0e-5909-a7ba-b1beaac9d54a.html
We’re simply not going to risk that happening again. We’ve been organizing continuously since the spring of 2017. And we’re accelerating now.
We’ve got a weekend of action this Saturday and Sunday—get involved: http://wisdems.org/woa

Help us build our operation. The more organizers we can hire today, the better our chances to deliver Wisconsin for Biden.
