Because it's #PRIDE2020
, here's a page to support the 14 openly LGBTQ candidates running for Congress this year. You can split your donation equally or allocate it how you like! I even shared a little more about each of them in a thread below. https://secure.actblue.com/donate/pride_flash_donate#

@GinaOrtizJones is an amazing leader who came within 900 votes of winning in 2018. She is a veteran, a daughter of immigrants, and has an adorable puppy.
@sharicedavids made history in 2018 as the first LGBTQ person elected to Congress from Kansas. She also broke barriers for the Native American community in the house. She also had a short career in MMA. Total badass.
@ChrisPappasNH won his seat in 2018 and served in local government and worked his way to Congress - becoming the first openly gay person elected from NH.
@AngieCraigMN flipped her the second congressional district blue in 2018. She is the first LGBTQ mother elected to Congress.
@RitchieTorres is an amazing young leader from the South Bronx. He serves on the NYC City Council and looks like he just won his primary to come to Congress in 2021 - making history. He is a strong progressive voice that defeated an anti-LGBTQ democrat to represent NYC.
@MondaireJones also just won his primary in New York - and along with Ritchie, will be the first Black LGBTQ members of Congress. He is a huge progressive voice for New York State and ran an insurgent, grassroots campaign to win.
@RepSeanMaloney is an outspoken leader who has served in the House since 2013. He was New York's first openly gay member of Congress.
@MarkPocan is a small business owner that has served in the House since 2013. He represents the same district as did our only openly LGBTQ Senator, @SenatorBaldwin in Wisconsin.
@MarkTakano was also elected in 2012 and became the first AAPI LGBTQ american elected to Congress. He was a public school teacher and driven to run to make change in our education system.
@davidcicilline was a public defender, state representative, and then Mayor of Providence, RI before he was elected to Congress in 2010. He is a strong progressive voice in the House.
Pat Hackett ( @HackettCongress) is running to flip a tough seat in Northwest Indiana. She would be the first out LGBTQ member of Congress from Indiana and is running against a terrible Trump supporting republican.
@jonhoadley is running to flip a seat in the sixth district of Michigan. He is a strong local leader who has served the state and is trying to defeat a long time republican incumbent.
Tracy Mitrano ( @MitranoForNY23) is running to flip a seat blue in Upstate New York. She is a cybersecurity policy expert and ready to take on a new challenge in Congress
Georgette Gómez ( @SDGeorgette) is running for the 53rd District in California. She is City Council President of San Diego and a community organizer.
Support one of these candidates! Especially those running in tough reelection reelection fights. We have a long way to go in terms of proper representation for the LGBTQ community, but we can make some headway this year in Congress. //
