I was raised in a Catholic family. My father was a racist & a bigot, but he was a devout Catholic. The toxicity of racism in families passes on to children so in my youth, I was racist. I never acted on it, but it was there, I looked at people differently. I knew no better.
I am grateful to my father for giving me this beautiful life and will always honor and cherish him for that. This disease of racism & bigotry is generational & it is learned. The bigotry is carried in religions in their exclusiveness of being the “one true path”
I am grateful for the spiritual path I found after leaving Christianity. I found it on my own, with the help of many different spiritual advisors, teachers & gurus I met along the way from a multitude of different faiths, all culminating in a truth that could not be shaken.
Years later, I discovered what I had found was known thousands of years ago & had a name. Sanatan Dharma, Vedas & Vedanta Advaita. I'm thankful because it allowed me to see the truth of Self. Racism cannot exist in our true essence. Skin color does not exist in our true essence.
I pray we all find truth. That we all discover our true Self.

Om Shanti Shanti Shanti
