I have nine names to say to you, Twitter. Each of them earned glory and the love and loyalty of people from Liverpool to the farthest reaches of the world. They’re names I’ve waited years to utter in this specific context.
Tom Watson.
David Ashworth.
Matt McQueen
George Kay
Bill Shankly
Bob Paisley
Joe Fagan
Kenny Dalglish
Jürgen Klopp
I chose that last picture on purpose. Best as I can tell, it’s one that was taken four and a half years ago, when Klopp said he’d felt alone as fans left during our loss to Crystal Palace... before the match ended.
This club’s motto is, “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” Whether this is the first league title you have celebrated with Liverpool or the first in thirty years, this is a good time for all of us to consider the things Klopp is preached and practiced since he arrived.
I love this club, the city it represents, and the values of the people that have supported it, played for it, and managed it with all my heart. I can’t wait to see how the rest of this campaign plays out, and to see what the next one will bring.
I have two songs playing in my head right now.

One of them you know, and it makes me choke with tears every time I hear it at the start and end of our games.

The other is “Don’t Stop Believing.”

That’s about all I have to say. Love to you all!
