Recovery means, first and foremost, containing the spread of #COVID19. That’s how we’ll restore our economy and our community in a way that is safe and sustainable.
To achieve both those goals, in every respect, recovery also means equity. We have to get resources and opportunities to where they are needed.
We have to rebuild our systems as we reopen: to eliminate the stain of racism and create greater opportunities for those who have been excluded in the past.
That’s how we’ll emerge from this crisis as a stronger city and community, and that’s how we’ll respond with resilience to any challenge we face.
