So my take on the RLB situation is this, she should know better than to share anti-israel media etc without filter, and confirming the party’s position on specific articles.
However, i do worry that it is becoming increasingly difficult to criticise Israel in an era where there is much to criticise them for. We must not conflate anti-zionism (a perfectly legitimate position) with anti-semitism, which is often very subtle in its appearances.
I sympathise greatly with RLB, because i know she has an outstanding record on civil justice and has been a perfect representative for Salford. But she should know better than to post these things unchecked.
Finally i read a really good thread about the issues with the article, most notably the conspiracy involved and why we must hold labour to account on this. So I don’t want to come across as ardently defending her
