I miss travelling.

(Tian Shan mountains, eastern Kyrgyzstan, near Issyk Kul lake, close to the border with China, 2002)
I miss travelling, part 2: Meenakshi Temple, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India (1999/2000). Probably the most beautiful Hindu temple I saw in India.
I miss travelling, part 3: Mongolia, 2002, about 200km outside of the capital, Ulan Bator
I miss travelling, part 4: Qadisha valley, Lebanon, 2009.
I miss travelling, part 5: view from Umm Qays (Gadara ruins), northwest Jordan. One of my favorite views, ever. In the distance is the Sea of Galilee in north Israel, and to the right are the Golan Heights. Towards the left, the Jordan Valley begins.
I miss travelling, part 6: Xınalıq, northwest Azerbaijan, 2016. The drive from the coast of the Caspian Sea up to the village (elevation 2,350m), in only a few hours, was one of fastest changes in scenery and geography I've ever seen.
I miss travelling, part 7: Mardin, southeast Turkey (2006).
I miss travelling, part 8: Aden, Yemen (2007).
I miss travelling, part 9: @b_momani noticed that almost all my travel souvenirs in this thread have been pictures of scenery. I do miss that. But few things bring me more joy when I travel than good food - and at the top of that list is thalli, here in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India
I miss travelling, 10: camping in the White Desert, western Egypt, near Farafra.
I miss travelling part 11: In Taxkorgan, Xinjiang, China, close to the borders with Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, in the ruins of an old fort guarding the valley, one of the few passages between South and Central Asia (2002).
I miss travelling, part 12: Shibam, Wadi Hadrawaut, eastern Yemen
I miss travelling, part 13: Manama, Bahrein (2019)
I miss travelling, part 14: Kairouan mosque, Tunisia (2009)
I miss travelling, part 15: Yemeni restaurant in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (2018)
I still really, really miss travelling, part 16: Wadi Dana, Jordan, 2009. I drove up from the south (Wadi Rum) back up to Amman - and the views looking towards Israel were stunning all along the way.
It's Friday, Trump just won't let go, and I still miss travelling, part 17: Alhambra, Granada, Spain (2009). Really nice place.
I miss travelling, part 18: outside of Moynaq, Karakalpakstan province, western Uzbekistan, what used to be the beach of the Aral Sea, now dozens of kilometres away from the water that's left, with a salty crust on the ground. One of the most desolate places I've been to.
(a few dozen kilometres to the south, in Nukus, the provincial capital, I was also jailed for a day after corrupt police arrested me after I refused to pay them a baksheesh, a bribe. At some point in the evening they didn't really know what to with me so they just let me go).
I miss travelling, part 19: in the mountains west of Sana'a, Yemen (2007). Maybe my favorite country of all those I visited. Stunningly beautiful scenery and architecture - now ravaged by war.
I miss travelling, part 20: Badshahi Mosque, Lahore, Pakistan
I miss travelling, and not just in the Middle East: Gordes, Provence
I miss travelling (22): camping and hiking at the base of the Muztagh Ata, in southwest Xinjiang. The lake is at an altitude of about 3,500 metres; the mountain at 7,500m. One of the highlights was yak milk tea and bread for breakfast....
I miss travelling (23): sandstorm on Kamaran island, off the coast of western Yemen in the Red Sea: before, during, after, and the beach, one of the nicest I've ever seen, on the day after.
Still miss travelling - and especially eating while travelling: falafel in Jericho, West Bank
