Very tired of all of the marketing conferences that have mostly white speakers. I'm also very tired of the same well-known, basically hero-worshipped, white speakers at all of the conferences. You know who they are.
I don't claim to be an expert; this is solely based on observation. As people at companies who put on events, we need to stop selecting the easy-to-get white speakers we've always selected, and be comfortable with speakers who haven't spoken before. Also, we need to pay.
Seriously, this whole notion of "speak for recognition" is messed up, because it's free labor. A lot of work goes into talks, and all of that work results less in recognition for the speaker and way more in money for the company.

(This is very company, for-profit-specific.)
Also, to speakers: stop agreeing to all-white panels!
