An appreciation thread for momos.🥟
Specially for momo lovers. ♡
Momos are probably of Tibetan origin. The name “momo” is derived from the Tibetan term “mog mog”. Momos are a type of South Asian dumplings that are hugely popular throughout the region. Momos are basically dough wrapped around stuffed vegetables or meat.
Another explanation is that when Tibetans left their homeland in the 1960s, they brought their food, culture, and lifestyle along with them to India. As they settled in the hill towns of West Bengal and the North-Eastern states.
Momos are very popular in Eastern India. West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam all have their own local varieties. They are not only common street food but are often made at home.
So, what makes a delicious momo really depends on how it is prepared and what ingredients are used. If the dough is fresh and of fine quality, be sure that you will get a good momo. The stuffing, be it meat or vegetables, should be minced well and flavoured with ginger or garlic
Those juicy momos with a home-made sauce of tomato, green chillies and garlic, along with a bowl of soup are soulful.
Some people live for momos. 🥟
They are very possessive about them.
People will never forget anything you said bad about momos ;)

Ps: i don't like them.
