2. "Many of these plans originally were designed decades ago for limited coverage when people were between jobs, for up to 90 days."

False. For two decades until 2016, #STLDI plans could last up to 12 months. In 2016, Obama limited them to 90 days.
4. “[ #STLDI] plans are a bad deal for consumers and oftentimes leave patients saddled with thousands of dollars in medical debt.” - @FrankPallone, @RepAnnaEshoo & @RepDianaDeGette.

I don’t recall them complaining when Obama's limits on STLDI left Jeanne Balvin with far worse.
5. Leap in #STLDI enrollment in Dec/Jan "suggests that these plans are benefiting from the #ACA’s open-enrollment season."

Really? There are no subsidies of any sort here. The ACA's ban on buying ACA plans ~10mos/year consolidates switches that would've happened at other times.
6. Congressional Dems "found numerous examples of patients who were denied coverage for treatment" by #STLDI plans.

Lacks crucial context. All health plans deny coverage. Often justifiably–often not. After Obama threw J. Balvin out of her plan, #ACA plans denied her coverage.
8. #STLDI plans "often exclude coverage for pre-existing conditions."

So do #ACA plans 10 months out of the year. Or if you can't afford the premiums. Just ask Jeanne Balvin.

Perhaps more important, Obama made that claim MORE true and Trump made it LESS true.
9. #STLDI plans "don’t have to cover the same benefits as #ACA-compliant plans."

STLDI plans can and will cover those benefits if that is want consumers want.

If consumers don't demand STLDI plans cover everything Congress requires ACA plans to cover, what does that tell us?
10. “Coverage limitations vary greatly" under #STLDI plans, say congressional Dems.

That means some plans offer better coverage, and those plans can profit by educating consumers about that better coverage.
