It's clear WWE and AEW are still running shows in order to maintain their TV contracts. That's business, and it's rarely pretty. But that's the reality of signing million and billion-dollar agreements.
That said, wrestling companies should go to the networks and see if they can tape a few weeks' of programming during a set time. Bring in who they need, film 3-4 weeks of TV. It keeps everyone from traveling to COVID hotspot Florida regularly.
No family, friends or fans should attend any of these shows. Pipe in crowd noise if they want. Don't bring in new people who you don't know if they've been social distancing.
If you use talent/staff as the crowd, maintain social distancing and have them wear masks. Likewise, stop with the lumberjack matches and battle royals. No need of having that many people around the ring at one time.
Test all talent/staff regularly. This is WWE's biggest flaw. They should have been testing for at least two months now. It probably wouldn't have stopped the breakout, but it would have given them some clue of
Wrestlers need to use common sense. They've been on social media, showing off beach photos and birthday parties where they did nothing to protect themselves. WWE can test all they want; it won't matter if wrestlers are being dumb beyond their job.
And finally, we as fans have to stop being hypocrites. If we're watching these shows during this time, we can't tell WWE or AEW to stop production. We can point out problems and give our opinions. But we're part of the cycle, too. No one is innocent.
