I am not stopping you from taking online courses. All I have been saying since February is simple.

Set a clear strategic career development plan and take actionable steps to achieve those set goals. Don't enroll in random online courses that don't align with your career goals.
Information overload is a thing. Someone coined the term "learning purgatory."

This is when you end up watching video course, tutorial or reading up on a subject and putting off the "doing" part of it because you don't feel you know enough. https://medium.com/swlh/escaping-learning-purgatory-e87bf8df5121
You already have skills (soft & hard) that you can utilize and monetize. Why not do your skills inventory, check the target job descriptions of jobs you want to apply for, and then confidently apply or start freelancing.

Use this for your skills inventory https://bit.ly/2Z4lG2m
If you also want to do a skills gap analysis, try using word doc or excel spreadsheet to create one for yourself.

A skills gap analysis is, quite simply, an assessment of your current capability level compared to the skill level required to perform a job duty or tasks.
This can be done on an individual, group or organisation-wide level. The skill level required might be in relation to a project in the pipeline, the broader responsibilities of a job position, or even the ability to live up to the values of an organisation.

Loool set some goals.
Consider the company’s job descriptions, business objectives and company values. Think of the new skills that the company you are applying to might need in coming years. This insight could prove invaluable in getting a job, getting promotion at work (career laddering).
1. Plan on doing your skills gap analysis as an Individual: You can identify the skills a job requires and compare them to an employee’s actual skill level.

2. Identify important skills

3. Measure your current skills

4. Act on the data
To measure skill levels, you could use measure your skills:

Surveys and assessments.

Interviews with employees of the company you want to work with or where you are currently working

Feedback from performance reviews or appraisals

Self-appraisals or comprehensive assessment.
Alternatively, you can measure skills by creating a skills spreadsheet specific to each individual position.

I will keep telling y'all to apply intentionality and strategy in your personal and career development.

Stop allowing Twitter people pressure you to take online courses.
Also do a Capability Framework

This is essential to determine the capabilities required to perform at the desired level in a given role.
To keep things in focus, remember these key questions:

What skills does the organisation value?

What skills do the I need to do my job?
You can also do a personal gap analysis.

If you are seeking a career change or preparing for your first job, a personal gap analysis will indicate what additional skills you may need. Writing a personal gap analysis involves knowing what skills you want to master.
Writing a personal gap analysis involves knowing what skills you want to master and the levels of the skills you already have to determine the differences, or gap, between the two. In addition, a personal gap analysis details what you need to do to reduce the gap.
Personal Gap Analysis will serve as a framework that shows the course of action you can consider when you choose to remove unnecessary thinking and actions in your personal and career development planning system.

Learn to be intentional and strategic.
With your PGAnalysis, it will bring self determination and achieving your goals. Special objectives will be included in the gap analysis so you can clearly see what your traits, skills, attitude, competencies are being evaluated to position you for success.
FYI: I am not on Twitter to respond to anyone in my mentions. I tweet when I want to and only if I consider the content relevant and useful.
You can continue with your online courses, as I am not in anyway stopping you from doing what you want. Have a good day.
