Let's talk about connections between podcasts (a thread).

We start with a single show. All by itself.
To find neighbouring shows, we can check @ApplePodcasts "Listeners Also Subscribed To" section to find shows with common audiences.
Now we have a cluster of 19 shows. Our show in the middle seems much less lonely.
Let's go one step further. For each of the 18 shows we added, we can find *their* neighbours, too. Suddenly, we can identify distinct podcast neighbourhoods, organized by listener interests.
We can keep on going, finding neighbours, then neighbours of neighbours, and so on.

The networks get bigger, and the neighbourhoods expand.
Finally, we can take every single show in @ApplePodcasts, and analyze the connections between them.

Sometimes, podcasting can feel solitary. And our industry can feel fractured and fragmented.

But it’s worth remembering just how deeply interconnected podcasting really is.
