Guys, the best deed you can do is when you find a deserving family, you get their CNIC and register them on @Ehsaas_Pk. It will take you only 2 min, but you don't know how much it would mean to that family. I am sharing my experience to encourage other people to do the same
I know a very hardworking and honest-to-God janitor who works in my street. A sole-bread earner of his 5 members family, he works day and night to make ends meet. He made sure his daughters get as much education as their resources allowed.
A proud Christian and a true hero, it was very difficult for him to come forward and seek help when the lockdown was at its peak. He somehow managed to share his hardships. I told him about Ehasas Program (he never knew about it, so we need to work on outreach more)
I took a piece of paper and wrote the website. On my mobile, I showed him the entire process of registration and wrote down everything so his daughters could do it the same. I registered him on the spot and advised him to manage his expectations.
It's not an easy feat to distribute cash offline to more than 10 million families in the time of the epidemic. I bow down to the competence of Dr. @SaniaNishtar for pulling this off. I really hope she shares her experiences with all of us so we can learn a bit.
I told him that you will get your cash without any political interference. It would get late, but you will get it.
Around Easter, we talked again and he said if I can loan him some money so he could buy some clothes for his daughter.

He said that he would return the money after he will get his Ehsas payout. I agreed and he spent Easter nicely.
We met again a few days ago. He was talking to the employee of our Mosque. He ended his conversation and came to me. I inquired what they were talking

He said, "Don't tell this to anyone, but before Eid, I loaned him some money, so he could spend Eid with dignity."
I was dumbfounded! I was standing before a guy who is dirt poor, has mouths to feed, and living paycheck to paycheck.

Somehow he manages to loan some money so the next guy could spend some time in peace. This is the pure definition of a hero. A hero who sacrifices, kills dragons, and share the gold with the community regardless of any biases.
He also informed me that his money was approved. His daughter has a separate family and she took all the steps that I wrote to her, and her money was also approved. That one piece of paper that I wrote circulated in his entire neighbourhood.
And many deserving families got registered.
Takeaways:
1. No deed is small. We live in a network. The ripple effects would be more magnanimous than you think.
2. Trust and respect people so they can also do it for other people.

The biggest surprise for me was a Christan loaning money, despite his own meagre resources, to a Muslim because they share the same pain of poverty.
Also, before our guy parted from his debtor, he gave him a football which he found during cleaning so his children could play.
These heroic acts inspire me to get out of the bed, and fight my dragons and share the gold with community!
