If you question the legitimacy of a victim’s story, but don’t question the behaviour of the abuser, it’s quite clear that you support the abuser’s actions.
Instead of: “why did she follow him to a hotel room?”
How about: “why is he luring young girls to his hotel room?”
How about: “why is he luring young girls to his hotel room?”
Instead of: “why was she wearing a dress that shows that much cleavage?”
How about: “how come he doesn’t know that an outfit is not consent?”
How about: “how come he doesn’t know that an outfit is not consent?”
Instead of: “why would she reply to his messages if she thought they were creepy?”
How about: “why is he sending creepy messages to women?”
How about: “why is he sending creepy messages to women?”
Instead of: “she should have reported it right away”
How about: “he shouldn’t have behaved in such a way that led her to repress a traumatizing memory for so long”
How about: “he shouldn’t have behaved in such a way that led her to repress a traumatizing memory for so long”
