In Genesis 9 Ham sees Noah’s failure and runs and tells his brothers.

Some people cannot wait to see others fail and are ready to tell others about it.

I think there is some application here for the SBC:
First, some people have such a hatred for Paige Patterson that they cannot even begin to accept anything he may have even nodded toward.

Some have rejected brothers in the CBN solely based on supposed behind the scene works of PP.
Some cannot wait for the CBN to mess up. They are waiting with baited breath to accuse the brethren. (As an aside, someone already has that job and you don’t want to be associated with him)
I’m not a member of the conservative baptist network but I count them as brothers in Christ (as I count those on the “other side” as brothers).

But if you’re looking at the CBN and just accusing them of nefarious activity and waiting on them to fail, check your heart.
One problem in the SBC right now is some people are more upset that there is a CBN rather than seeking to understanding WHY there are legitimate reasons for organizing in this way.

It is objectively verifiable that there are liberal tendencies currently in SBC life
Let’s combat these tendencies together instead of assuming that a new conservative network is wrong from the get go.

Instead of wanting them to fail, let’s consider why they have formed.
Oh. And let’s go to Nashville and #TaketheShip. 😉
