JJ Muyembe, Director of INRB is discussing the 10th #Ebola outbreak and what was done to end this outbreak. Thanking all partners who made contributions. Thanking the clinical research that was conducted to support innovative vaccines and treatments.

For the new outbreak will use the two treatment options that have already generated evidence in the previous outbreak. The response will be lead by the local experts in that region.

@MinSanteRDC Minister of Health Eteni Longondo is discussing the current #Ebola outbreak. The population have been sensitised to the precautions needed due to experience from previous outbreak in 2018. For #COVID19, using similar strategies and methodologies used for Ebola.

JJM discusses the major challenge for #COVID19 is to have an effective #vaccine to combat this virus. Need involvement of the population, together with diagnostics, isolation and treatment of sick. Major problem of DRC will be logistics, as some regions are inaccessible.

@DrTedros 'today is a joyous occasion, delighted to celebrate the end of the #Ebola outbreak". Over 1100 people who contracted Ebola survived, testament of the support of partners....where we saw a rapid roll out of an effective #vaccine that saved lives.
