He completely ignores the fact that THERE ARE OTHER HIGH QUALITY WOMEN WHOM WILL NOT FRIENDZONE HIM. no. "she is different". He shits himself into thinking he won't be happy till he has this particular girl.
This might be a girl he's been on a date with once or twice or he's actually in friend zone, where they're platonic but she's not interested sexually.
When others tell him to focus on other women, he becomes upset.

2. Relationship Oneitis - this is the most common. It's a scenario whereby a man is so fixated on his babe and so Needy that he's always terrified that she'll leave him if he does anything she doesn't like.
She gives him drama. He puts up with it. If he's a more confident guy, he'll fight back but he'll still tolerate it.
She makes demands of him and he complies to every single one.
If they argue, even when she's wrong, he will be the one to apologize and go back to her. Tueh!

If she threatens to leave, he cowers and tries to see what he can do to make her stay.
This sad man's life is filled with MANY compromises and unfortunately its the state of at least 60 to 70% of Nigerian men in their relationships. Fashi all this Twitter wokeness

These compromises make him unhappy, but because of his Oneitis he doesn't care. He'll suffer.

If he's weak, he cowers. If he's confident, the relationship is filled with constant fights and arguments because the truth is confident guys know when they're babe is throwing shit at them.
This is also the default of most traditional and monogamous relationships.

Dumped guy Oneitis - dis one na where d mad people full finish. These guys stalk their exes on social media. They go crazy when they see their exes with other men. They text/call their exes continuously and beg them to come back.
This particular type makes little effort to move on and meet new women. Like all sufferers of Oneitis, they think their ex is the only woman in the world OR at least "the only QUaLitY WoMAn" in the world even if she might have been a total bitch.
A small minority of them DO make an honest effort to find new girls, but they always feel that the new girls are either not as fine, or smart, or cool.
So they go back to her social media to stalk her while they cry and eat Indomie.
