Paywalls are making the biggest news outlets unreadable. Why are per-article universal micropayments still not possible?
I don't want to subscribe to every outlet, and also won't spend the time making an account on every website - do customers like me not factor into their calculations? Surely it's a big market?
I just want to be able to read any article that I want to, when I want to, without prior relationship to the outlet, and am happy to pay so long as there's minimum friction (and so long as I have the sense I'm paying for what I want/use not a superfluous membership)
