In other news, had a bit of a terrible anxiety week a while ago. Weird how the strain creeps upon you, even when you’re lucky like me and haven’t lost work and the govt support has actually been helpful.
One of those weeks when you just feel like you’re failing at everything and everything is about to fall apart. And you know exactly how bad it is when things fall apart and how hard it is to recover. And then my boss told me how he’d been feeling. And that made things better.
It’s a strange strain, this slow rolling crisis. Not for those who have had everything fall apart - I really feel for them, especially if it’s a totally new experience. It will be a bloody hard road. But it’s weird being ‘okay’, stable and totally unstable at the same time.
It’s even scary being kind of better off and able to pay the bills. September isn’t so far away and maybe it isn’t so good to be able to breathe if all the stress is just going to slap you in the face again in three months time.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that if you get a hit of COVID taking a toll, and you maybe don’t feel like you’re allowed it because things aren’t so bad for you: You aren’t alone. Cos maybe that will help you feel better the same way that helped me.
