liquidity mining (LM) on @thorchain_org is superior to lm of $comp and $bal

these 'governance tokens' fundamentally offer less return and are riskier than LM on thorchain

here's why

on compound, say you provide 1 $wbtc – you're going to receive a bit of $comp

that $comp MIGHT be worth a share of profits down the line – maybe $comp holders are going to vote in earnings, maybe compound is going to grow

but valuation is highly subjective–you're taking a punt

thorchain liquidity mining is superior on multiple fronts

when you provide #btc you're providing PURE, CLEAN $btc

you're not exposed to minting risk – decentralized or otherwise

the assets you're mining are far less risky

firstly, you're mining #btc – which you already own and love

secondly, you're receiving $rune – which is just a far, far superior asset to a $comp/$bal

why is $rune superior to $comp and $bal?

1. $rune doesn't have wishy-washy, subjective, meatspace governance that's dictated by @a16z and other silicon valley types

assets are added in a purely mechanical way, transparent to all

2a. the value of $rune is perfectly predictable

the more connected assets, the higher the value of $rune

in fact, simply by providing your $btc to the network you are undeniably, boosting its value

2b. future cashflows aside (which only add to the value), $rune has the most perfectly deterministic value accrual mechanism OF ANY ASSET, traditional assets included

(happy to be challenged on this, and to dig in deeper to y this is true)

3a. $rune has a higher potential marketcap of any other defi asset

say what you will about $XRP, $XMR and those kind of assets, but there's an absolute shit-ton of economic bandwidth sitting in them

3b. that value is ONE BIFRöST module away. i.e. it's really easy to get that juicy bandwidth into @thorchain_org. couple that with point 2 and you've got some EXPLOSIVE deterministic value accrual potential

3c. the value which @thorchain_org has within reach, with $btc, $xmr, $bnb, other large cap assets absolutely dwarves anything that compound and balancer have within reach, limited to assets only on ethereum

so yah, basically, get HYPED about @thorchain_org mainnet, coming soon... and chaosnet even sooner
