As prisoners of a consumerist medical system, we're constantly forced to translate our needs into the language of utility, repair, and optimization, but that doesn't mean that our needs and desires originate in that ideological space. Life is in excess of what structures it.
It's long, slow, difficult labor to trace desire to its origin, and hard to tell sometimes where external desire ends and internal desire begins. So finding pieces of the real within yourself is precious, and those things deserve respect and protection.
Thinking of everyone who spends a good chunk of their daily life-force trying to defend that thing within them, and sending my love.
