why lover is Taylor’s best pop album a thread:

I know the rep stans are gonna come for me but just hear me out

1) Lover is lyrically her best pop album and it also is very diverse with lots of different genre undertones, emotions and topics eg. Sygb or MAATHP. Idk why it gets such a bad rap, it really is such an amazing album and better yet, Taylor was her happiest while writing it.

2) although the singles weren’t very widely liked amongst the fandom, they still did well and a lot better than other artists singles. Lover signifies the growth Taylor has made and the love between her and her friends, family and ‘lover’. (See what i did there hehe)

3) Lover might not be a fan fav becoz a lot of the songs on lover represent having a beautiful relationship with whom you love and it displays a lot of emotions most people will only experience once in their life. A lot of people need to realize you don’t need to be in love to-

4) love lover (hehe) it’s a lyrically and sonically masterpiece. The lover era is definitely one of her best and is one that has produced some of her best award show looks. Lover represents so much more than love, it represents lgbqt+ rights (YNTCD) and acceptance, it also-

5) represents female empowerment and the double standard for women (the man) as well as the cruel society we live in and how it is rigged (MAATHP) and also the journey of almost loosing someone you love (sygb) and songs like ME! which aims to make you love you for you.

6) Although some so called ‘swifties’ call it ‘flop era’ the album was the biggest album of the year while going against amazing albums like tun, wwfa wdwg etc. and more. Lover deserves more love and deserves to be loved like rep and red.
