Big winners will likely be the Nordics and the Netherlands (good unis + taught in English).
The losers? Well, go figure... https://twitter.com/ginasue/status/1276043632823451649

Needless to say that this will likely shift the composition of students at UK (elite) university in terms of who applies/comes over from EU/EEA countries: I would expect a strong shift to more ppl with an upper-middle or upper-class backgrounds...which, well, is sad news really.
It's already been hard to study in the UK for EU/EEA students from middle-class or lower-middle-class backgrounds (and even harder for working class bg). I would not have been able to come under the new fees. So a risk of elite universities becoming more elite again?
Finally, long-term political implications: Quite a few politicians in EU/EEA have studied in the UK (which is also why many know the UK so well..take Sabine Weyand, who has played a prominent role in the Brexit negotiations). Prob hard to find effect, but wonder how that changes.
