If you want Confederate monuments to teach history, lie them on their sides and put statues of WT Sherman, US Grant, Robert Smalls, etc. on top of them kicking their asses.

All statues of Jefferson Davis should be him being captured by Union soldiers while wearing his wife’s petticoat and shawl so they’d think he was a woman.

I would accept statues of Stonewall Jackson being “accidentally” shot by his own troops.

Statues of Confederate soldiers deserting en masse after Gettysburg would also teach history.

If Confederate monuments teach history, how about one of General William Whiting shitting himself to death in a prison cell? For extra history he could be clutching an angry letter he wrote to his superiors accusing General Braxton Bragg of incompetence and cowardice.
