Heres my real thoughts on Beyonce...
Beyonce is the greatest entertainer of our time. I go to her shows whenever I can. I think shes professional and puts on a good show. But I have my opinions.
Beyonce over the last few years has been more vocal about racial issues. From her videos, to her posts, to her website. Beyonce has spoken out and I appreciate that.
But Im tired of obsessed fans acting as though she cannot be critiqued.

There are a few issues with Beyonce’s activism. One issue is Beyonce using Black Panther imagery in her performances. If you’re going to use something as radical as the Black Panthers you have to stand on their principles or its just a costume.
They were anticapitalist.
They were anticapitalist.
My other issue with Beyonce's activism is she plays it safe. At a time when we were protesting she was calling for peace. There hasn't been peace for your average Black person in this country.
Beyonce advocates just enough to keep her privilege intact as a rich pop star. Image how powerful it would be if Beyonce used her voice to its MAX and joined calls to abolish the police? But she is careful not to do that.
Beyonce brags about hoarding wealth in a lot of her songs. So when we tell you that capitalism also harms Black people why wouldn't we be able to criticize capitalist? ALL CAPITALIST???
Beyonce's activism is very safe. And so is Jay Z's. He literally said that Black families play a role in police violence. Look it up. Jay also invested in a company that tracks parolees with a GPS.
I admire and respect Beyonce but her activism deserved to be critiqued. And if you all really cared about the state of Black people you would get over your fucking obsession with superstars and accept criticism.
The BeyHive are anti revolution. They even joke among themselves mocking "communist Twitter" and "socialist twitter". Many are so obsessed with a rich celebrity that they will mock activist who are risking it all.
The BeyHIVE will claim to be antiestablishment but many will attack every and anybody who so much as mention's her name. You protect the elite. You shame critical and creative thinking and that a lone makes you counterproductive. No revolution can exist with such constraints.
The BeyHIVE has harassed many Black writers and influencers for so much as mentioning Beyonce's name. Many who are fans such as myself. Why? Because you value idol worship over Black peoples safety online. Your worries are vapid.
Beyonce is rich. Beyonce is powerful. And Beyonce will be critiqued. And you all will learn to shut the fuck up and listen if YOU TRULY CARE ABOUT BLACK LIBERATION.
You will say I'm jealous. You all will say I hate Beyonce.
But I go to every tour, sometimes twice. I stream every song. Watch every special and have studied her since Destinys Childs very first song. So you know what that means???

Your frustration with Beyonce criticism lies in your inability to accept criticism about someone that you worship. These critiques interupt the fantasies that you build. Your only way of processing it is to make someone like me the enemy. Your brain can't rationalize CRITICISM.
This all holds true for all Stan communities. Is this not why the Barbs ignore the sex offenders that surround Nicki Minaj? Hosting streaming parties to keep a sex offenders song Number 1? Because accolades are more important than progress.
So let me tell you stans something. I'm going to read every angry reply and fucking ignore it. I won't even waste a Block on you. I don't care.
I am a fucking Black writer. I have a fucking brain. And I won't be silenced by vapid shallow people who worship the 1%.

I've tiptoed on this app and kept my very valid opinions about Beyonce to myself in fear that people would think I hated her for saying anything. But I'm not doing that anymore. Every last one of you can fuck off.
We are living in a historical time. We are huge seeing huge forms of resistance right now and a growing desire to transform our world. And in that I don't have time for idol worship. Your obsessions and shallow worries keep you from being revolutionary.
I understand the desire to challenge people like Wendy Williams who attacked Beyonce's education. Critiques like these aren't constructive and are harmful to Black people.
But Beyonce's politics ? Beyonce's influence? Those things are allowed to be discussed.

If you're mad? Good. Ask yourself why your desire to worship a celebrity outweighs your desire to allow BLACK people to write about the world as they really see it.
A revolution can't be fucking censored. And I'm out.
By the way. This thread is not attacking fans who don't participate in harassment. Online communities can be great for building friends. But "Stan culture" is when you start to harass and lose the ability to think critically criticism.
Do not give up your voice.
