I built much of a shed today, showed the boys the difference between an impact driver and a drill, cleaned more, dug ground to level an area for said shed. It is amazing when avoiding these spaces do you realize how completely devoid of reality and manufactured they are
Your friends. people you've met in person, normal people, lying to the general populace of this space 1 manufactured post at a time. Framing the wording just right, ahh that's nice. Maybe... maybe if I just type this this way... yes, that demonstrates my moral compass nicely.
The luxury you have crafting a message. The scroll you execute now. You realize how little I scroll? How vapid the opinions expressed on every little thing are. I over post as well, so it's not a knock. Just imagine though, if instead of reading this, you did something meaningful
instead of the mental energy wasted to ensure we craft messages that are incapable of generating discussion, that we built something. Instead of the meaningless messaging that every one rolls theirs eyes at and jogs onto the next thing, if we filled these spaces with creativity
Not what is popular. What is real. Not what will get me clicks, views, likes, thumb ups, but what is lasting, true. The longer we move forward with these two worlds - reality, and then these spaces that those trapped in the bubbles think are reality, the worse the band-aid gets.
It is often said I speak my mind. I assure you, if your opinion is based on these spaces, that you know the bots that trick you into thinks certain things just as well as you know the real me. Maybe 8 people know that person. He doesn't live here. He lives in reality.
Other people. You maybe. You too have no one that actually knows you. You have what? 10. 100. 1000 people scroll by this and roll their eyes for every 3 that agree, react, confirm your bias, your need for dopamine?
Some day, we can all be free to express our believes, thoughts, truths, opinions, not just those with the manufactured settings for the context of the situation. If you want real change it comes from big ideas, not platitudes.
You want progress/peace/joy/love? Build it. Grow it.
The world needs these things. You are empowered to produce them in the world.

If that's what 2 days off these spaces just listening to music while doing manual labor will do, than I can only imagine who I can allow myself to become when I'm invested in reality more than the digital.
