This is a small primer to help those that are not familiar with Police Training to hopefully assist you better understand/relate.
Well established, approved, and there for a REASON.
Is there a double standard?
Unequal application?
3
Every Police Officer in our Country is required to go thru hundreds of hours of training to earn their badge.
They also have continuing education.
State and Federal approved, to keep their Peace Officer
License.
Certified.
There for a reason.

Officers are required to act on 'Breaches of the Peace'. Sometimes even off duty.
Crimes that put Life & Safety of Citzens at risk.
Robbery, assault, disturbances, etc
The public asks this of them.
Their Governmental Agencies usually REQUIRE this of them.
Crimes in PROGRESS

Officer Presence is the first level in the use of force continuum training.
Nothing hands on.
Not even speaking.
Makes sense, right?

The below is from the National Institute of Justice dot gov

Officers are there to protect the public.
Would the Officer deal with punishment in the regular course of their duties if they failed to act on serious crimes in their presence?
Can elected officials change the meaning of a law without legislation?
Is this happening?
8
If elected officials told/forced officers not to enforce the law (on condition of their employment?),
would those officials have the liability as the result of the inaction?
Is this civil, criminal, or both?
Did this deprive any citizen, of any right?

Departments are removing tear gas, pepper spray, and less lethal 'bean bag' rounds from Police Officers.
On the use of force continuum, this leaves Officers vulnerable to attack/injury,
and increases their personal liability.
Remove less lethal?
Why?
11
Police Officers are trained to keep a safe distance in situations for the safety not only of themselves,
but those in the public.
'We can talk just fine from over here'.
Common Sense, right?
How would you feel in these situations?

Officers face retalition from administraions if they speak out.
Please be their voice.
Tweet, call, email, and ask questions of your Local/State Governments.
Your voice matters.
They sacrifice so much for us.
Speak out and support them.
Thank you!
