I love the exercise of asking Why repeatedly.

Why do companies buy data? To enrich their own data.

Why do they want data enrichment? Better targeting.

Why do they want better targeting? Close more sales.

It's much easier to sell your product if it solves the "core" problem.
The exercise of asking Why repeatedly offers ideas for how to better msg your product. E.g. framing your data in terms of closing more sales instead of better targeting.

Asking Why also reveals product opportunities. E.g. how about selling a targeting API instead of raw data?
