MY GUYS (Thread 1/?)
Starting with my biggest SF buy of the offseason, Teddy Bridgewater!

Here’s a breakdown of why I think Teddy will be fantasy gold next season and beyond.
Let’s start at the beginning....
Mayock had Bridgewater as his QB1 in the 2014 draft class after Teddy posted 4 fantastic seasons at Louisville. Out of college, he was seen as a good, but not great prospect with above-average football IQ and below-average arm strength.
Going into the 2016 season, Teddy tore multiple ligaments in his knee and was forced to sit out for almost a year. At the time, @ProFootballDoc said it was likely that Teddy would be able to play again but would lose a step in the future.
Now, back to the current... Last year Teddy stepped in admirably for Drew Brees in the Saints offense. Here, he finished with scores of 6.1, 6.5, 15.6, 20.28, 23.94 and 35.26. Obviously, the duds aren’t very great, but he proved he could do pretty well in the other games. https://twitter.com/scottbarrettdfb/status/1273819710317105152
Along with these fantasy outputs, he was also incredibly efficient, as seen in the tweet quoted above. His comp% was routinely higher than expected based on depth of target.
Obviously, we can’t talk about Teddy without talking about his new team.... I really think the Panthers are going to be an elite offense next year, and there’s 4 reasons why:
1. THE WEAPONS
Christian McCaffrey is the best catching RB in football.
DJ Moore is elite.
Curtis Samuel and Robby Anderson round out an awesome 3-WR set, and the guys behind him aren’t too terrible.
Ian Thomas’ best comp on playerprofiler is Austin Hooper and he’s shown flashes
2. THE OFFENSE
Matt Rhule and Joe Brady will bring their college, high-flying systems to the NFL. Brady, at LSU, coached one of the most prolific NCAA offenses of all time last season while Rhule led Baylor to a very good season behind his own high octane offense.
3. THE DEFENSE
The Panthers lost a HOFer and one of the best defensive leaders of the past decade this offseason in Keuchly. While I think their defense has some serious young pieces, they likely won’t be ready this year, leading to late-game situations leaning on the pass.
4. LAST YEAR
Last year, the Panthers were 19th in yards per game with Kyle Allen leading the O. Bridgewater is a serious upgrade over Allen and should make this decent offense into a good or great one.
Overall, I think Teddy is going to ball out in this system with the serious firepower he has beside him, and there will be no question as to who the starter is next year afterwards.
