Because I keep seeing the tweet make the rounds and people bashing some people in the replies, I literally went through an anti-sjw phase. I don’t like talking about it because I’m embarrassed by it.
It didn’t last long but I fell down the rabbit hole so easily. I was active on tumblr at the time as well and my phase was a reaction to that. I need people to understand that there were a lot of people my age that got roped into it.
I wasn’t calling people slurs though or some shit like that. I thought I was being “edgy” because I thought people were being too sensitive about things. Like I almost fell down the alt right pipeline at one point, it was terrifying.
I’m glad I was able to come out of it, but I’m getting tired of some people acting all high and mighty because they never went through a phase like that. Do you realize how much propaganda was out there and specifically targeted at kids my age ?
I just wanted to say this because people need to understand that it’s still a serious issue. Neo-nazis and alt right types can still easily get to kids. It’s way more common than people realize.
