Possibly a hot take, but I’m tired of seeing posts about Youtubers blaming the algorithm for every little time that they don’t get as many views as they think they should. It's just all over my timeline and so needlessly negative.

Sure YT does some stupid stuff & how it gets things trending is unfair, but at the end of the day YT isn’t gonna throw viewers at you everyday.
It’s also annoying when I see multiple people who don’t like the rating system for the last 10 videos you’ve published.

I find it to be a great tool to compare metrics, but many find it to be a “YT grading system” that discourages them. U gotta face facts and accept that some videos will do worse than others,

& you also gotta power through and see what it is that makes some videos perform worse rather than complaining about how your vid didn’t do well. YT isn’t gonna hold your hand to make vids perform better, but the new YT studio gives you *lots* of tools to analyze your vids

In the end, you’re not just making vids for an AI to distribute, you’re making vids for people. Human nature is fickle: sometimes viewers will scoop up your content, other times they might like somethings but then drift away as their interests change.

You can attempt to control your SEO, but you can’t control people to come watch.
So own up to your ‘failed’ videos. Take what you learned from it and challenge yourself.

If you’re really that serious about doing YT to the point you actively want more views, then you gotta have the mentality for it too.

However, this comes from the perspective of a YT hobbyist who’s growth rate hasn’t increased in over 3 years, so roast me if I’m just being too ignorant for something way out of my league.
